Baththalangunduwa Island is a small yet significant island located off the coast of Kalpitiya in the Puttalam District of Sri Lanka’s North Western Province. It is one of 14 islands in the area and ranks as the second-largest, following Uchchimune and Mohontuwara. Covering an area of 145.53 hectares, Baththalangunduwa lies approximately 30.3 kilometers from the mainland, offering a tranquil escape surrounded by the pristine waters of the region.
